CONSERVATION THROUGH AWARENESS

Welcome to Our Hipcamp Retreat in the Sierra Nevada

Our mission is simple yet profound: to share our beautiful land with people of all generations and inspire a much-needed change in how we live and interact with our planet. By opening our campground in the Sierra Nevada to visitors, we aim to highlight the urgency of preserving these last wild places and the invaluable lessons they hold.

The Sierra Nevada, a region of unparalleled natural beauty, is under increasing threat from wildfires. These fires are a stark reminder of the consequences of straying from the traditional forest stewardship practiced by the Nuim Native peoples. These ancient methods, honed over centuries, maintained a delicate balance with nature, preventing the devastating fires we see today. Unfortunately, the arrival of mining, power, and timber industries during the California Gold Rush disrupted this harmony, leaving our forests vulnerable.

By sharing this stunning property through Hipcamp, we hope to impress upon our visitors the importance of conservation and sustainable living. Our goal is not just to provide a camping experience but to foster a deeper connection with nature and an understanding of why these lands are worth saving.

At our campsite, you will experience the raw beauty of the wilderness—majestic sunsets, cascading waterfalls, and the serene tranquility of untouched forests. But beyond the scenery, we offer an opportunity to learn about sustainable practices and the rich history of the land. It's about more than camping; it's about reconnecting with the Earth and recognizing our responsibility to protect it.

Join us in this journey of discovery and stewardship. By experiencing the magic of the Sierra Nevada firsthand, we hope you'll be inspired to advocate for and participate in the preservation of our natural world. Together, we can ensure that future generations will also have the chance to witness and cherish these wild places.

Come visit us, and become part of the movement to restore harmony between the Earth and its people. Let’s work together to save these precious lands and embrace a sustainable way of living.

MIDWAY LOOKOUT

Best campsite I’ve been so far!Shandie & Jesse absolutely were the best host we have ever had. The space itself is pure mother earth and we had the best experience ever. I would give more stars I'd possible as this was hands down the best experience regardless of campsite or other that my family and myself had ever had. Accommodations thoughtfulness and love from the Flores family.

Lower Falls We can't recommend this place enough. The location is unique and the view is breathtaking. The bathroom is clean and well-maintained. We couldn't have imagined a better campsite. Shandie is extremely helpful, extraordinarily friendly, and accommodating. If we're ever in the area again, we will most definitely book again!

I won’t tell you that this place is an oasis. I won’t tell you that it is awesome. I won’t tell you that it is perfect in every way…only because I want to be able to get a reservation here again and again. I will tell you that Shandie is such a gracious and welcoming host with a heart of gold. She did everything she could (and then more) to make sure our stay was phenomenal. Thank you, Shandie. We loved every minute in your slice of heaven.
